I think I just got saved!

When Aaron drove that stake into the ground at Beyond, everything changed. Not just for him—but for generations to come. The instant that stake pierced the earth, a businessman who had been “playing Christian” for years truly surrendered his heart to Christ. But more than that—he established a legacy. The trajectory of his entire family line shifted forever. Aaron had arrived at the Beyond event already wrestling on the precipice of a life-changing decision...

A few months earlier, when Aaron met Jason, Jason saw more than a successful businessman. He saw a man with eternal potential—someone who called himself a Christian but wasn’t experiencing full life in Christ.

Through friendship and intentional pursuit, Jason built trust with Aaron. Eventually, he invited him to attend a Beyond event in Ohio—a step Aaron nervously agreed to take.

What Jason didn’t know was that Aaron had also come to the retreat wrestling with whether he should marry his longtime girlfriend, Lindsay, and mother of two. This decision had weighed heavily on his heart for months.

From the weekend’s start, it was clear God was doing something powerful in Aaron’s heart. Each session peeled back layers of false identity and emotional walls built up over years of pretending the Christian life…But it was during the final day, in a session called The Cycle of Wounding, that Aaron encountered a breakthrough that would change everything forever.

Aaron came out of the room a tearful wreck. Jason asked if he was okay, and Aaron said through tears, “I think I just got saved!” He realized that though he had been going through the motions for years, he had never truly made Jesus the Lord of his life. Right then and there, he surrendered to Christ— completely and authentically for the first time.

When Aaron returned home transformed, Lindsay and her kids ran to him with joy. That evening, he shared his story. “They were glued to me,” he remembers. “They wouldn’t let me go.” In that moment, he knew exactly what God was telling him to do. The next day, Aaron called Lindsay’s father asking for permission to marry her. Then he asked her children if he could marry their mom. After excited “yeses” all around, he proposed the very next day.

Today, Aaron and Lindsay are happily married. Their home overflows with joy—a man transformed, a family united, a legacy beginning. And now? Aaron’s bringing other men to Beyond, multiplying that single moment’s impact.
